5 Creative Ways to Say “I Love You” For the First Time

January 22, 2017

Falling in love is an indescribable feeling. It is a beautiful, unplanned, and unexpected phenomenon that could knock on our door at any given time. There are simply no words for it. Literally, none.

When we fall in love we can’t think straight, can’t concentrate, can’t eat, and can’t manage to think about anything else! It is a beautiful, heavenly, supernatural feeling, but sometimes these overwhelming feelings can lead us to a rushed love declaration without really taking the time to put much intelligent thought into it.

Here are 5 creative ways to say “I Love You” for the first time that will help you reveal your deepest feelings and keep those butterflies from fluttering around too much in your stomach.

1. Make an origami heart love-note

Some of you have probably already gotten scared seeing the word “origami.” The truth is, making origami isn’t as hard as one might think and even less difficult if you have a little something giving you that extra push like “being in love and trying to find the right way to say it.”

Yeah, you might lack artsy ideas, creativeness, and your out-of-the-box ideas might be few and far between, but if you’re really dying to tell that special person what you feel for them and can’t hold it in any longer, then making a thoughtful craft like this one should be no difficult task.

She’ll be sure to recognize the extra effort. The internet is overflowing with DIY tutorials and other instructional videos so you definitely won’t be lacking in resources.

It doesn’t even have to be perfect, it just has to come from the heart. Don’t be afraid to mix things up and add your own special touch. It’s impossible for a gesture like this to go unnoticed.

2. Make an "I love you" breakfast

Romantic dinners are overrated. What about a romantic breakfast to declare your love? You don’t even have to be an expert cook or a famous chef, but yeah, a little creativity is preferred.

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and can also be the perfect opportunity to express what you really feel to the one that you’re head over heels for while at the same time getting the day started on the right foot.

The truth is, there is no right or wrong way to do it, just let your mind run wild because the sky’s the limit when you’re in love.

Spell out “I Love You” with fruit, pancakes, sausage, or even eggs and be sure to incorporate shapes of hearts. The ideas are endless so be creative. Obviously you got to make sure it’s something that she likes so choose carefully!

Also, make sure that she ends the morning not only with a stomach full of food, and a body full of energy for the day,  but above all a heart full of love.

3. Say it with a handwritten letter

Maybe you’re not a poet. Maybe you didn’t even graduate composition class in high school. But, guess what? None of these things are required to get out a pencil, paper, and simply pour out your feelings if you feel like you can’t hold it inside any longer.

Yes, there are so many more quicker and efficient ways of doing so like sending texts, Facebook messages, and even opening up Word on your computer and typing out what you feel, but there is something about a handwritten letter that will never lose its value. Technology is great, but turning to it in this situation just shows that we want a quick escape.

However, opting for the old fashion way with a pencil and paper and putting your feelings into carefully thought out words will show the one you love that what you feel is real and that you took the time to reveal to them your true feelings.

It will take a lot of precious time and brain-wracking thought, but we guarantee it will mean so much more to them!

4. Spell out "I love you" in creative ways

It is one thing to say “I love you” to that special someone, it is another to do it in a unique and creative way that your loved one will never forget.Write it out in nature for everyone to see.

Write it out in the sand, not just scribbling the letters with your hands or with rocks but forming the letters with seashells collected from the beach.

Spell it out with stones on their driveway so when they walk outside they can’t miss it, with candles or flower petals on the dining room table along with a romantic dinner, or even write it on the windshield of their car in the snow to warm up their heart on a chilly winter day.

Quite frankly, you can use any kind of prop you want. Your options are endless. Just make sure you be creative, think outside the box, and give it your 100% effort and you’re sure to get a positive result.  Remember, the details always matter!

5. 100-stem flower bouquet

Last but not least, pamper your sweetheart with flowers, flowers, and more flowers. Not just with any bouquet, but with a massive, overwhelming flower bouquet that will undoubtedly help you send a clear message.

If you have been looking for the perfect way to say “I love you” for the first time, search no longer!  If this isn’t doesn’t assist you in expressing your deepest feelings and pouring out your heart to the one you are head over heels for, then what will?

Only a bouquet of this size is truly worthy of a love declaration.

Don’t feel the need to limit yourself to 100 stems either. Why not 150 or even 200 stems?

It’s easy to overdo it with chocolates or even her favorite cosmetics, but the truth is you can never give her too many flowers!
